Schnoodle, Poolky Wanted
I'm surprised that cross breed dogs are not popular in Singapore. I mean, pure breeds are so common, after all a chihuahua is a chihuahua, and Schnauzer A doesn't really differ much from Schnauzer B in terms of its looks, if we're talking about the same class (not comparing Minature with Giant that is). Really, there's just so much you can do in terms of grooming to make your dog look different. But cross breeds, now that's different. It's what they call designer puppy, and in this time where I would think everyone wants to have the latest something (gadget, handbag etc), I'm surprised the trend hasn't caught on. Why settle for a schnauzer when you can get a schnoodle or a silky terrier when you can get a poolky? Besides, cross breeds are so much more intelligent. It's like how my school teacher used to say, the more diverse the genes of your parents are, the smarter you will be. Same thing applies.
Sure, they seem to have ridiculous-sounding names, but they are internationally recognised!
I was quite disappointed when Eric from Pet Movers told me it's not likely they're going to cross breed because of the lack of demand. I guess there're only this many people in Singapore, and even less people who'd be good dog owners, so in a way, I agree with him that it just isn't a wise decision to mate for the Singapore market. Which means, in my attempt to find my toy/miniature Schnoodle, which is more common than the toy/miniature Poolky, I'd probably have to either 1. Import from overseas, or 2. Place an ad and hope that some owners in Singapore will decide to do an accidental mating.
So this is my first step to placing a personal ad. Anyone with cross-bred puppies, you are most welcome to leave a comment. :)
Sigh...Lubby.

hello there!
i've got 4 dogs at home & one of them's a cross-breed.. his name is lockie & he's absolutely adorable. heh. i suspect his parents are a pomeranian & a chihuahua.. but then again i don't know for sure cos a friend had given lockie to us, and the friend's not sure too! but lockie looks like a smaller version of a pomeranian.. heh really cute ;) oh and if u're a true dog-lover, u will realize it doesn't matter even if ur dog's not a pure-breed.
anyway somehow i stumbled upon ur blog & i'm quite pleasantly surprised! ;) i love ur shows. i think you've got great potential and i can see that you're trying to improve yourself as an actress in every new show. you have my best wishes yeah? hope you'll always stay grounded and down-to-earth, just as you are now. ;) oh yes, LOVED ur Ah Boy character in that ch8 show. heh.
oh im in NTU now too.. but not for long. going to lasalle to do music technology. look for me if u ever wanna cut an album! hahaha. take care! hope to see more great performances from u. ;)
its reali cool being able to stumble upon ur blog. jus wanna share some thghts wid u. i don't have a pup buts i've great interest in pups & doggies. especially shih su. many ppl say shih su are practically dumb & too small. buts i disagree lots... they've their ways of expressing themselves. well, having cross breed doggies are seriously cool. none of my frenz have them. its kinda sad. buts having doggies isn't all abt their breeds, i believe its more abt relationship wid u. mann, never wonder why ppl always say *dogs're man's best friend*. aniwaes, its great reading ur blog & its a great performance on stage u had on evry show u did in life... all the best in life & tk crs. *cheers* bye =D
you gave me the impression that you wanted this dog because its a big hit overseas? correct me if i'm wrong.
its a trend as you have put it simply and trend being t.r.e.n.d, it will pass away someday. what will you do about that then? give the dog away?
i hope you know what you want for crossing a bred, even more so for wanting a dog per se.
i am not against cross breeds or anything. in fact i have a mini-schnauzer myself.
the question here is, why follow the trend aka "designer-dog" fashion, if one can call that a fashion? if you are truely a dog lover, just accept them as they are and not purposely going for "accidental" mating.
just my few cents.
cheers!
Aiyo Racerboi, I must clarify lest you think I'm one of those spoilt brats who buy designer dogs because they look good on my arm.
It isn't because it's a trend that I'm fond of cross-breeds, just that the poodle-mix-with-another-breed puppies I've seen are just so adorable it's hard not to love them. And with dogs, it IS about the relationship, which means if I do own a dog, I won't just give it away because it's no longer trendy.
Having said that, unfortunately, I still don't have a dog because my mom is strongly against the idea. So all these talk won't be put to action anytime soon. :(

Hi Weiliang,
